I say this because Gary is a counselor and I read fiction more for pleasure. This one is co-authored by Gary Smalley so it may not have been the best choice for a first book by Karen Kingsbury for me. This is my first Karen Kingsbury book (series). I was going to review each book separately, but this is not so much a 5 book series as it is one VERY long book of overlapping stories, which is left with an unfinished story at the end.
